About Me
My journey with travel began when I served as a flight attendant on both domestic and international flights with Nigeria Airways for five years. This role taught me the art of hospitality and opened up countless opportunities to explore various countries and immerse myself in their cultures. It was an exhilarating experience, but my adventure took a new turn when I relocated to the United States over 40 years ago. Even after moving, my passion for travel never waned.
For more than three decades, my family and I have delighted in exploring Caribbean destinations and enjoying cruise vacations. We've experienced the luxury of all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, Aruba, Egypt, and Dubai. Additionally, we've cruised with Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Norwegian cruise lines.
Initially, we worried that having children might hinder our travel enjoyment, but we soon discovered that children added an extra layer of fun. Most all-inclusive resorts and cruises we visited offer kid and teen clubs with dedicated staff and engaging daily activities. These clubs kept our children entertained while we enjoyed some much-needed relaxation—a win-win for everyone. These experiences have only deepened our family's love for travel, and we've made it a priority to take at least two affordable trips each year, regardless of life's challenges.
Our vacation photos often spark curiosity among friends, associates, and family members, leading them to inquire about our travel experiences. These conversations inspired me to turn my passion for travel into a business, giving birth to Giwa Travel.
After obtaining the necessary government paperwork and completing courses with The Travel Institute, I became a certified travel advisor. Giwa Travel LLC now operates as a independent contractor with Travel Planners International (TPI). Feel free to browse through our memorable travel photographs and let them inspire your next adventure.
